Echo had the opportunity to go TDY and do some career broadening with other branches of the ISC. The R&D guys she worked with last summer are hard at work developing various prototypes, which she had the distinct honor to help field test. This is the new Coastal Operations uniform, and before you say, "It's just a bikini!" this next stage in the development of martial vestment is far more than simple swimming attire. The armor plating is composed of the latest pion composites, providing superior protection and stopping power over previous models, while also remaining ultra-lightweight. All components of the armor also include Quick-Release Buckles, so that it can be rapidly removed in the event of an emergency with only a couple clicks. The full ensemble also includes padded knee protection, to protect your joints for those times you're down on your knees, in the line of enemy of fire. Data results from field testing show the gear to be the most popular design yet, and moral has never been higher! Paperwork is being routed now, and pending approval, you can expect a full release as early as Spring 3556.
